About The Artist
Gloria Jones was born in Camden, Alabama, September 30, 1964. She moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1968. She was known by her teachers to be a “Daydreamer”. Gloria would daydream about things she saw on television such as; nice clothes, a big house, real friendships and family love. Around the age of 15 Gloria heard a choir singing a song that touched her in a really big way and her then unknown passion to sing came alive. Although it has taken Gloria a while to pursue a singing career she has finally arrived, and can sing!
In March 16, 2008, Gloria went to Chicago and auditioned for the “America’s Got Talent competition”….no she wasn’t accepted to the next round because she forgot her lyrics – what a bummer. Gloria later found out that life had something different waiting for her. She began to develop a passion for book writing. This passion began back in 1993 during a time where her father was battling with cancer. She started writing about things she felt and saw in regards to her fathers’ sickness. This was a rough time for Gloria; she dropped out of college in order to help take care of her dad; it was catalyst that somewhat hobbled her passion to pursue singing for a while, but only for a while, because now Gloria is back with passion to sing to the glory of God. Gloria has recorded her first single “It Was Jesus”, and is now ready to meet the world of music.
